2017 Club Development Coach Scholarship

Applications for this Scholarship were closed at 10:00pm, Sunday 15 October.

All New Zealand club coaches are encouraged to apply, with the winner receiving a full scholarship to attend the course, free of charge.

The Club Development Coaches Course is designed for club-level coaches looking to improve overall coaching ability and understand how to deliver and impart knowledge across all technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of the game. This course is also suitable for age-grade representative and secondary school coaches.

The Club Development Coaches Course covers the following aspects:

  • Team strategy and game plan design
  • Attacking techniques and methods
  • Defensive patterns and structure
  • Performance analysis
  • Position-specific coaching knowledge

This course is run in tandem with our Club Development Players Course - which provides coaches a "hands-on" opportunity to put theory into practice with real players.

Coaches will also receive 1-on-1 tuition from position-specific experts to acquire an in-depth knowledge of each position on the field.
