IRANZ Condor Sevens

The Condor Sevens

The Condor Sevens was established in 1986, and is now known as one of the biggest, most competitive schoolboy Sevens tournaments in New Zealand.

Tournaments of this type develop technical and tactical rugby skills for individual players, and create a great environment for team building.

IRANZ are hugely passionate about player and coach development, and are proud to support events of this type.

More about IRANZ

Since 2002, the International Rugby Academy of New Zealand (IRANZ) has provided high-performance programmes and services for rugby players, coaches and teams from within New Zealand and across the rugby globe.

Player Courses

For players, there is a strong focus on position-specific tuition, skill development, mental toughness, rugby intelligence and self-management.

Our set programmes include modules to foster intensive development in each of these areas – leading to improved performance both on and off the field, and laying the foundation for future development, long after the Course is complete.

Coaches Courses

For coaches, it is a rare opportunity to work intensively with the world’s best coaches in a practical environment.

Set programmes focus on developing a structure, strategy and blueprint that each participant can implement within their own environment. Using a camp-style environment to deliver rapid development and learning, our programmes will exponentially accelerate coach development.

IRANZ Live ‘20 was a remarkable achievement for the organisers and presenters. As an attendee, IRANZ Live exceeded my initial expectations and provided a unique coach development opportunity with contributions from a long list of world-class rugby figures. The range of delivery and content was excellent, and a superb balance of interactive tasks and Q & A opportunities. Over the 12 days, IRANZ staff deserve credit for creating such a positive and personal environment for coaches to learn. With 2020 being the first year of IRANZ Live, the structure and delivery was without fault and I would highly recommend the online experience to fellow coaches as an alternative to attending in person. I am proud now to be a part of the IRANZ community.

Alex Loney, IRANZ Live Graduate (Head of Rugby at Lancaster Royal Grammar School, UK)

Alex attended the First IRANZ Live Programme in 2020

“The course has been really unbelievable. I walk away from here a much better coach. I’ve benefited much more (from this course) than ever in my wildest dreams I could have hoped for.”

Dick Muir, Coach (Springbok Assistant Coach)

Dick attended the High Performance Coaches Course in 2007, and went on to become the Assistant Coach for the Springbok at the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
