IRANZ are pleased to announce former All Black turned-coach Jon Preston will facilitate the upcoming Club Development Courses alongside fellow former All Black and IRANZ Staff Coach Mike Brewer.
Preston has been involved in coaching, high performance and skills roles for the last five years with the Highlanders – before announcing his departure earlier this month.
Preston was known as a versatile player; equally adept at either halfback or first-five eighth. He was also known as a sound goal kicker.
His most memorable moment in the black jersey was kicking two penalty goals under pressure in 1996 against South Africa to help the All Blacks hang on for a historic victory.
The Club Development Players and Club Development Coaches Courses will be held from 23-28 November this year. Position-specific coaches on these courses will also include former All Blacks Eroni Clarke, Bruce Hemara, Glen Osborne and Dion Waller.
